I filed bankruptcy 6 years ago(lost my job) I include a credit card by WFNNB(world financial network bank)?

I had no choice but to file (I list my job after 6/11)
since then I have had worked very hard on rebuilding credit.
I bought and paid off a car that was financed.
I currently have 2 credit cards I only charge what I know I can pay off monthly.
but I really want this this one credit card, it is a store credit card that I shop at regular, having this card they offer the card holder great coupons and discounts.

Since I filled bankruptcy I had also bought my own home and my credit score is 750.
If i apply for the card will hey deny me because I had the card before and put it in my bankruptcy?

Unfortunately there is no possible way to get an answer to this from Yahoo Answers. Each company has individual underwriting standards, and only they know if they will re-grant credit on a previously delinquent borrower. In the current credit environment, I would estimate that the answer is they will decline your application, but again, that is just an educated guess.

If you don’t mind the inquiry on your credit report, maybe you should apply, then if you are denied, contact the underwriting department of the creditor and explain what happened 6 years ago and see if there is any wiggle room. Since you say you’ve had a good credit record since that time, maybe they will cut you some slack.

Once again, WFNNB is NOT known to be very BK friendly unless it’s an older BK. But just try — the only thing you have to lose is possibly 2-4 points of your credit score.

I don’t know why you are stressing so much about this and asking the same question again. JUST APPLY. If you don’t want to do it in the store because of embarrassment, do it online.
